Welcome to Hennigar’s Farm Market, where we are celebrating our 70th season! Located just outside of Wolfville in the eastern Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia, Hennigar’s needs no introduction to many locals; a stop here is like “coming home.” Browse the store for gift ware, plants, baked goods, produce or line up for some of our famous ice-cream, or wander through our park and nature trail. We have a little something for everyone!
Hennigar’s Market and Park is a great destination for the whole family. Take a hike on our trail, feed the animals, or do some digging in our sandbox.
Our roadside market prides itself on having the best fresh local produce, gifts, baked goods, flowers and plants, and of course our famous ice cream and fudge.
Hennigar’s farm specializes in aapples, peaches, coloured peppers, giant romaine lettuce, and sweet apple cider. Quality is our #1 priority.
The Farm has been in the family owned and operated since 1921 and the roadside market has been in operation since 1948. We are now in our fourth generation!

In today’s world of depersonalized big-box grocery stores and automated checkout counters, the family-run Hennigar’s Farm Market heals the urban warrior’s soul. This Eden of nature’s goodness dates back to 1921, when Edward and Thelma Hennigar secured land and began farming in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Edward sold fresh meats and apples to locals. Their son, who took over the farm in ’52, found he could sell his bounty by the roadside, right from his truck; before long, he built a fruit stand. Today the family biz consists of a bakery, a gifts section, a greenhouse, a family park, a 2.5-km nature trail and a fish-and-chips stand.

Great spot! Lots for the kids to do from looking at the fish in the ponds, feeding goats, playing in the sand, riding tricycles around a dirt track, watching the bunny’s play in their little village to walking on the trails. It’s alot of fun for no cost other than a donation and a couple of quarters to feed the goats.
